African black soap is traditionally made in Ghana and Nigeria using locally sourced ingredients like plantain ash, shea butter, and cocoa seed husks.  The resulting soap is soft, slightly sticky and ranges from dark brown to light cream in color. It also has extraordinary skin benefits.  It's said to be excellent for all inflammatory skin conditions including eczema and acne and includes naturally occurring exfoliants and moisturizing shea butter.

African black soap can be used on its own, but I thought it would look lovely mixed in with a creamy soap using even more shea butter and oils low on the comedogenic scale. This is a true super soap! It's incredibly creamy and leaves the skin feeling clean but not dry. Softly scented with Lemongrass essential oil which when combined with the natural scent of the soap yields a sweet grassy scent. 

Appropriate for all skin types including sensitive skin.
