Cryptid

 "A Cryptid is an animal that is said to exist, but has never been proven to do so.", Merriam-Webster Dicitonary.

A cryptid can be powerful, misunderstood, and beautiful in its own creaturey way.  As any good X-files agent worth their salt will tell you, cryptids are sometimes not of this world, sometimes evolutionary quirks, and sometimes amazing results of experiments gone awry.

"Cryptid" aligns with this latter definition.  Born of a botched recipe, the Soap Alchemist (moi) tweaked and prodded "Cryptid" into lovely existence.  Adding additional French green clay, an alkanet swirl, coconut milk, and a mossy essential oil blend of cedarwood, clove, and spearmint, the creation that emerged was unexpected and yet... luxurious.
