Bogue Banks

Bogue Banks is a barrier island off the coast of North Carolina.  From childhood until now, it has just been "The Beach".  The distinctive cast of the waters in both the sound and the ocean runs in shades of green and teal.  In childhood drawings of the beach, my water was always green, and the shore scene included rolling dunes with sea grass and sandpipers. My kids have also grown up knowing Bogue Banks, and specifically, Emerald Isle, as The Beach.  

I designed this soap wanting to capture the greenish teal shades in the water and the small opalescent shells that one can pick from the sand.  "Bogue Banks" has an exfoliating bottom layer imbued with fine sand and Dead Sea mud.  The body of the soap includes organic coconut milk, coconut oil, Shorea butter, and cocoa butter and is scented with woody notes of cedar, brisk lemongrass and lime essential oils.

I hope you enjoy using this highly nourishing and gently cleansing soap, and that it transports you to your sea shore of choice.
